ABOUT ME

Nate Edwards was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was a 3 year varsity starter at Northeast Catholic High School, and was a 2x All Catholic League selection. He earned a scholarship to continue his basketball career at Kutztown University. At Kutztown Nate was a 2x All-PSAC team selection and 2 year Scholar Athlete. His senior year he averaged 18.3 points per game, which ranked 3rd in the PSAC conference. He finished his career as Kutztown’s 9th all-time leading scorer and 3rd all-time in steals. Nate has a great deal of knowledge when it comes to the game of basketball. He has had the experience playing and working with high level players. Some of those players include Euro League Pro basketball player- Reggie Redding, Pro basketball player-Stephen Dennis, Euro League Pro basketball player - Ronald Moore, NBA basketball player- Bradley Wannamaker, Pro basketball player- Lavoy Allen, and current NBA All-Star Kyle Lowry. Nate was a member of the New Oxford High School Boys Basketball coaching staff from 2015-2020. While coaching at New Oxford He helped take the Colonials to previously unseen heights, guiding them to PIAA Class 5A berths in 2017 and 2018, made the YAIAA Tournament championship game for the first time in the program’s history in 2019 and returned again in 2020. Through the five years Nate was a part of the coaching staff, they never had one ineligible player. The team also twice earned the Gretchen Wolf Swartz Sportsmanship Scholarship in 2018 and 2019.Nate stepped away from the program in 2020 to focus his time with youth basketball. The level of play and competition Nate has experienced growing in the game of basketball has given him the tools he needs to share and teach the game from the ground up to the youth in our community. Nate is a husband to his wife Cait and their 4 children Jaedyn, Tatum, Gabriel, and Gianna.
